    Blood Moon

We were lucky enough in the north east to have clear skies, managed to grab this shot of the eclipsed moon. Fingers are frozen now though.

Good shot. Clear skies in the SE too but no photo.

Big anticlimax here in NI, a beautifully clear day gave way to thick cloud, couldn't see a thing, not even a faint glow.

If I hadn't had a red-eye flight then I would have been out with the telescope for some high def pics. As it was I just enjoyed it with the mkI eyeball.

I have been promising myself for 40 years to get a telescope, the search starts now.

brilliant shot, what did you use to capture that photo ?

Im used my sons telescope a few times and actually took a photo down the lens of the telescope and it turns out pretty good.

Nikon 300mm Zoom F5.6 with the ISO cranked up, I am looking for a second hand telescope, think I have the bug. Did you attach the camera to the telescope?

4.30, which is not much earlier than normal, but the dog was confused as to why we were sitting in the garden looking at the sky rather than going for a walk!
