Any Rolex TT GMT 126711CHNR owners out there.....

Or should I just say Rolex ‘Root Beer’ owners, thinking of adding one to the collection, I first got to see one at a Rolex event last year and thought it looked very impressive. I know TT watches in general get slated on here but I’ve always liked them and until recently had the standard TT Rolex GMT 116713LN.
Just curious to see what people who have actually seen one of these in person think of them......

Did have one but only wore it a couple of times and sold it recently
Stunning watch but decided that gold wasn't for me.

I haven’t got one - but I would very much like one. You know my preference for TT and a bit of gold. That Root Beer is classy. I notice apparently the case is slightly narrower shoulders to the ‘standard’ GMT and it does boast the latest cal 3285 70h pwr movement from Rolex. Also it’s got rose gold hands and marker surrounds. Of course brown / black GMT.

Sounds like my YM but GMT (well you know what I mean).

Swap if you do get one! Darn you Steve - you may have got me on a hunt!

I don't have one either , its the only tt watch i like and would love to get my hands one one ...what does the CH stand for in the CHNR?

  6. #6
Great looking watch. I reckon that the RG makes the watch more subdued than a YG-TT.

My most worn watch since last July.

Agree that this looks much better in the metals. Tried one on at a Rolex event and it was gorgeous, much nicer than the all RG one.

I was thinking the same...as I have a Pepsi now the BLNR could see itself traded for the CHNR. Not seen one in the metal but it looks amazing in the photos.

I saw the all RG one - and it was a bit OTT. This - gorgeous!

I popped in to a dealer and tried on his all gold version and it was very nice, if not a bit too much for me. The chnr I think is a very nice watch, and I could be tempted. I still feel like I need some TT in my life amongst my steel.

£10,850 - No, you are looking at a 12-15 month wait at minimum from a UK AD.

Several on C24 - at between £13,000 and £14,500, so commanding a reasonable premium.

Looks tremendous in the flesh. More subdued than your usual TT but, at the same time, very luxurious and classy. Not an obvious colour-scheme but one that turns out to work really well. Imo, one of the best looking of modern Rolexes.

What kind of dunce pays a premium for an in-production TT watch? Crazy times...

I'd love it if it was yellow gold, cant stand the neon pink everrose hue, very effeminate.

What I’m picking up from certain other forums is that this particular TT watch appeals to folk who usually dislike TT watches, for me it’s the fact that it’s so much more subdued that some of the other TT Rolex models that I find way more appealing.

I collected mine in August 2018, and it's so easy to wear every day - the black/brown work beautifully with the rose gold.

The fact that WF have several BLRO Pepsi on Jubilee for £1,500 more than their inflated asking price for a CHNR is nonsense.

This is a beautifully balanced blend of the rolessor and steel

    116621

For myself i would have to say no, the brown/black with the everose/steel combo looks far from classy and from what Rolex have produced in everose two tone over the past few years only the 116621 Yachtmaster with the chocolate brown dial has got the combination right in my opinion.

Everyone has different sweet spots on watch design etc and that is why we are so varied in our tastes as shown in this forum.

I was told 4 to 5 year wait at Fraser Hart Kingston.

On the plus side the waiting list was still open, unlike most of the rest of the SS models.

Its the prettiest watch I have in my collection.

Not a fan of TT, but this really is a nice watch.

Think this is one of the nicest TTs but yet to see one in person. Are they also a ‘waiting list’ model now or is there any chance of them being put on display?

Popped myself on the expression list at Fraser Hart in York when picking up my Exp II today. Was told they're not as infrequent coming in as I expected

I'm 50 in 23 months (gulp) so spoke about that and they're taking that into consideration (I don't really want one before, want it for then).

Are people who have these still happy?

I was told 5 years at Fraser Hart Kingston. Maybe a bit of BS, but you never know with Rolex these days.

still happy. Mine lives on a tan leather strap to add a bit of variety.

This is on the current list of watches I'm saving for, as others have said, I dont like TT but this really appeals due to the subdued tones.

    Lovely looking thing.

I have said this before but this is the 2 tone Rolex for the non 2 tone lovers. I have a sneaky suspicion that there will be a new black dial and bezel Submariner in Rose Gold and Stainless next year containing the new movement. Only time will tell. The GMT CHNR is a stunner.

When I recently had my 116610LV for trade I got offered a couple of CHNR's and if it wasn't for the fact I already have the BLRO with jubilee and oyster I'd have traded it.

It's really grown on me. I'm still torn between a blue TT Sub and the TT GMT though. I love the Everose though, and red gold always looks better on my lighter wrist than yellow gold.
It's just a matter of time...
