Not seen it but isn't that what he wore in the original series?
Is anybody watching the new Mangnum PI?? He seems to have a nice Pepsi GMT. I think a 16710 but i could be wrong.

Tom Sellecks is a 1675.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

I believe the watch was a Rolex Pepsi 1675.
However, the storyline in Magnum PI stating he inherited the watch from his late Father as a boy could not have been correct. Apparently his Father died in 1951

The real issue here is not Magnum's watch but (a) the disgraceful lack of moustache and, (b) the fact that Higgin's has had a sex change.
Before you know it Fox or someone will remake The Rockford Files with Jim Rockford's father "Rocky" reinvented as a cantankerous old bag lady called Pebbles.
I recalled Magnum started with a dive watch on a black rubber strap, and a quick search tells me it was a Chronosport (fitting, he was supposed to be an ex-Seal, wasn't he?)

Just reminding me...
Stan: I want to be a woman. From now on I want you all to call me Loretta.
Reg: What!?
Stan: It's my right as a man.
Judith: Why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
Stan: I want to have babies.
Reg: You want to have babies?!?!?!
Stan: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
Reg: But you can't have babies.
Stan: Don't you oppress me.
Reg: I'm not oppressing you, Stan -- you haven't got a womb. Where's the
fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?
(Stan starts crying.)
Judith: Here! I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually
have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the
Romans', but that he can have the *right* to have babies.
Francis: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to
have babies, brother. Sister, sorry.
Reg: (pissed) What's the *point*?
Francis: What?
Reg: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies, when he
can't have babies?
Francis: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
Reg: It's symbolic of his struggle against reality.
I seem to recall a discussion, possible on this forum about Magnum (Tom Selleck) sporting a Seiko 009 in certain scenes. Does anyone remember that?

Possibly. I just found this as well http://magnum-mania.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1723
There's a new Magnum P.I!?
I'd like to see a new Knight Rider.
There is a watch at 0.08/0.09 sec, its a dive watch with a black strap and a few other scenes where a watch is flashed - but what is it??
Saw this thread and downloaded the first episode from Sky. If you haven't seen it don't bother. Even the mansion house appears to have been CGI'd as well as most of the scenery, perhaps even the watches!
They did remake it. T'was not great.

There is talk about a film reboot too.
Also Tom Selleck was wearing his old Pepsi GMT in one of the Jesse Stone films and there was a full screen close up of it, as he was checking the time in one scene. My wife asked what the watch was at the time, and that helped smooth the way to my first and only Rolex.

Sorry for the very poor quality pic but here is a screen grab from the new series....
At the risk of sounding painfully anally retentive everybody has this notion Craig is from Liverpool. Including Wikipedia. He's born in Chester. He's practically Welsh in a Scousers eyes.
But then again the line up possibly for his replacement is a 6ft 2 black , cockney fella.
