Manchester March Get-together - it's on!

Hi Guys
We dipped out on the usual Autumn one; Captain Kirk has and still is very busy, and there were some new venues to explore. Also I haven't been too well myself.
I will engage in top-level discussion with Our Beloved Leader to see how he's fixed; alternatively I would be up for one at the usual venue.
For GTG virgins, note that security reasons lead us not to mention any location specifics other than by PM.
It is a lunchtime meet in central Manchester with easy access by public transport; date by popular poll on this thread, Saturday or Sunday. Possibility of a buffet lunch if desired. My particular bag involves the presence of cask beer, but if a different venue is chosen I may be outvoted.

So - for now - put your name down if interested, I'll kick the can down the road and see where it leads.

If you can predict a free day on a weekend in March tell us that too and see if we have any consensus.

Apologies all, I was swamped before Christmas with work and finally moving house. I have found a new venue we could have exclusively for a Sunday afternoon, it’s more secure than the last venue. I will discuss the suitability via PM with a few GTG stalwarts. But as Alec says, for now state your availability late Jan / Feb!

Banter, interesting watches, optional drinkies, bite to eat, stay as long or as short as you like, nearby parking or extremely easy access from railway and tram stops.

Good safety record - we have lost only one GTGer permanently, all the other have eventually turned up virtually (physically) unharmed.

Several forces of nature hoping to attend - could be a good one.

Strikes on Northern Rail now called off - plenty of easy access from deepest Lancashire/West Yorkshire for those who would enjoy a half pint whilst talking watches without risking a breathalyser on the way back home.

It is an intriguing list of participants.

I'm an almost definite - car has to go to the vet tomorrow so the cost of that is gonna dictate my spending money unfortunately.

It'll probably be the same as last time, a couple of hours with you fine folk before having a wander round the local boozers. Sunday's were invented for "making a day of it" ;)
