Fantastic Rusty. I’ve handled a previous model Gyrotourbillon. I watched the spherical balance spring through a loupe; never seen anything like it. Apparently they only have one craftswoman able to make the springs.
I wonder how many of this one they will make. Less than 20 is my guess.

I went and listened to the Big Ben chimes on YouTube after reading this. Bells have such complex layers of tones depending on shape. Comparing the two, I thought JLC had done a good job of getting the main pitch correct - especially the low bell being decidedly flat. Given the totally different shapes and sizes necessary in j watch, I would imagine that the overtones just have to be as they come.
