    Samurai on holiday

Newly acquired Seiko Samurai on holiday in Penang. Wasn’t going to wear this one as I had a Sinn U1 lined up for duty, but the gorgeous blue dial swayed it for me, only trouble is, it would take a bit more than a few “save the oceans” to rescue the Straits of Malacca, the oceans not very clean here, but lovely and warm.
Couple of quick pics, will get some more later as it’s shopping and sightseeing in Georgetown tonight.

Being G&D, I thought it was a new Japanese reality TV show...

Nice to have a beach to yourself. Enjoy your holiday!

    Nice pics!

I went there (Penang that is!), in the 80s, back in my backpacking days!

Two things I really remember about Penang? We (myself and an ex girlfriend) stayed in probably the worst place Ive ever stayed at! ( I was used to hostels etc!) ...but this "shack"! was something else! All that I remember was it was a right grotty place in Batu Ferringhi?

My other over riding memory of Penang, was a little cafe/restaurant/hotel in Georgetown....where you could be served?????????????? beans on toast! Such a treat when backpacking for months! The name of this fine establishment? The Tye Ann Hotel

This was in the 80s though!

Evening drinks at the Gravity Bar, G hotel 24th floor, nice panorama of Georgetown after dark.

Morning after, Samurais favourite breakfast, char Kway Toew. Famous Penang street food.
