    Steinhart on FB

Came across this yesterday on FB ..... what a tragic tale and that’s some restoration job in the making!!

The owner of Steinhart has since been on and told the OP to get in touch and he’ll be wearing a new watch soon ... that’s a great gesture for the poor fella.

Poor sod, but yes what an amazing story and how many brands would the head of the company promise to sort it out. Well done to Gunter Steinhart for that.

For those not familiar with the Watch, this is what it looks like when everything is okay. Pic borrowed from Mac if sees this...

Yes, an amazing gesture by the manufacturer, not many would do the same. One reason why I like the micro-brands, you get the personal touch.

Much respect to Gunther. A happy end to an unhappy story.

Gunter comes through again; this is far from the first time he's put things right that weren't his problem.

If the guy didn't have insurance then his watch is the scarcely the worst of his problems. And anyway, what was on his wrist when he escaped...?

He did the same for me twice on older watches that developed an issue. Really over and beyond what you’d reasonably expect from a brand. Much kudos to him

What a great story. Very nice gesture and I'm sure it will give the chap something to focus on and look forward to.

I believe due to incidence of earthquakes and fires there that adequate insurance is a mandatory requirement.
