...who would be willing to assist me with an Ebay purchase? Have my eye on an item but the seller is located in the US and doesn't seem to want to ship internationally. I would of course cover whatever costs are involved and would be happy to make a donation to the fundraiser to sweeten the deal.

I believe there are a couple of companies based which provide the exact service you're after. I never used them myself but IIRC some members did/do last time the topic was brought up.
