Well I’ve gone and ordered the a90 edition. Think it looks great in the Matt grey and only 24 coming to the uk.

I don’t think an S5 or C43 is in the same playing field as a Boxster or Cayman .
S5 especially is a soft cruiser not a sports car.

Looks great in Red - though I'm not sure I'd buy one over a Cayman or Boxster

Auto only is a deal breaker for me (and as a current GT86 and previous Z4M owner, I expect that I'm probably in their target demographic...)

Talk on the GT86 forum is that, at the price tag, most would defect to the Cayman.

Great shout. Cayman is a far nicer looking car and with the new turbo model more power is also easily had.

I love the looks , fan of the ZF8 gearbox its the best auto on the market by far , engine is great as well but for the price I'd look elsewhere its at least 5k too much imo maybe more

Cars like this wont sell well here , the US will go mad for it though

They’re in the same price range, and if you need 4 seats, you need 4 seats....

Nice choice, is it the matt grey that Schmee reviewed above?, if so it looks really stealthy and befits a car from the classic Supra lineage. The red and grey upholstery also looked smart. Enjoy

I like the look of the supra, although as others have mentioned being auto only is really putting me off.

If the new Z4/Supra is anything like the previous Z4 then in terms of driving characteristics and dynamics it will have more in common with the likes of the S5 and C43 than the Boxster or Cayman.

I was just reading on Pistonheads that 2 4 cylinder versions are being released in Japan so probably safe to assume they will come here as well. The less powerful of which will have just shy of 200bhp via a 4 cylinder turbo. I'd be more interested in seeing that engine in the GT86.

I think the body line over the rear wheel arch and along the door lets it down from the side. Nice car though looking at the specs.

I really like it, and think it will age quite well.

It definitely has paddles. Looks good from some angles, oddly awkward from others. Disappointed to see so much BMW influence with the interior.

tbh if I liked the outside then I would have been tempted, and one of the reasons would have been because of the interior. I've mainly had German cars, although I have an F-Type now, but I've always been put off Japanese cars because of the interior switches etc.

I've got flappy paddles on my M3 and IS250. They are no substitute for a Manual gearbox :-(

It's one of the cars which have to be seen in 'flesh' and driven before dropping your hard earned £££££ as there are better cars in its price bracket IMO, unless you do not care about ergonomics, power delivery, handling etc and just want to be different.

Coincidentally my first also, not the actual car but same model and colour.

So much more impressive metal available for the money, autotrader is bursting at the seams with R8's, Vantages, Porsche's and alfas. There's even a LHD 360 modena if you are willing to take a punt all under the Supras asking price.

You're in luck then, BMW did the interior, well the dash and switches etc, they might be Toyota's seats.

Looks are subjective ...it looks like it’s been subjected to a 15 year old styling it .

There are a couple of YouTube reviews and on those I think it looks better than in the static shots

No, but it sounds as though they are treating you well. Enjoy, and let us know about the car when it arrives - I for one, will be very interested.

I think the yellow tone recently seen on a lot of UK YouTube reviews looks phenomenal
