    Rolex Explorer II without Cyclops?

Serious question. I actually rather like the white dial Explorer 11. Does anyone know if you can specify NO Cyclops if you order one new?

What about service time, would they replace the hideous Cyclops regardless?

As a luxury brand surely Rolex ought to offer a choice?

On the Polar Explorer its possibly the best implementation of the cyclops.. thats why I chose it as I also dont like the cyclops.. but on the white maxi dial it does look more refined and nowhere near as obvious..

I think Rolex aren’t doing too badly as things are.

That is such an attractive watch face / hand combination..... just a shame that Rolex won't accept that not everyone needs magnifying lenses to read a date.

I guess I could get used to one, but it would always peeve me that is was there in the first place.

Roughly how much is a replacement crystal? If you do try the DIY removal trick and badly screw up?

At that price I guess it is worth a go then. Perhaps get a local watch-maker to fit a replacement and keep the original separate.
