    My Million Pound Menu BBC2

Did anyone else watch My Million Pound Menu on BBC2 last night?

If you didn't think Ramsay's Best Restaurant meets The Apprentice and that should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

I only ask because we've just booked tickets to an 11 course tasting menu event being hosted by last night's winners (NO SPOILERS) at MEATliquor King's X on 20/01 which I'm very much looking forward to. Well worth a watch if you're a bit of a foodie like me and are struggling for something to watch post-Christmas.

Didn't see it but thanks for the heads up, will watch it on catch up as sounds like something me and the good lady wife would like. Enjoy the tasting evening......if you feel a bit off just before I could always help out😉

I’ve never seen it before but watched it last night and quite enjoyed it. I think I’d love that tasting menu :-)

Right up my street, when the winner was announced I was unashamedly chipper at having successfully predicted the winner from the outset.

The funny thing is that I wasn't really fussed when Mrs. MST first found it in the TV guide, we had been waiting for the final episode of Manhunt at 9pm (also excellent). Fred Sirieix is quite a likeable fellow too, for a Frenchman

Am I missing something? I thought last night's winners didn't get an offer from the MEATliqour chap...

Agreed, I did think that it's a bit odd considering but who knows what deals were done after filming.

Big fan of MEATliquor right here, the Dead Hippie is to die for!

I'd never heard of the brand until last night!

Good luck to the winners, some of those dishes looked fantastic. If ever a TV genre needed "smelly-vision" it's that one!

Really enjoyed watching the first episode last night.

The format of the show seems to have changed from the first season though.

    Yes, i noticed that.

The first series had all the businesses in the manchester restaurant for two days each.. Much better to tell how they fared under the pressure of running a full restaurant.

Also they all had to "wait" until 7pm at the end and all had the chance of receiving backing .

to add, it was a really cool experience being in the middle of the production. we got in via a cancellation think the Mrs subscribed to something on Facebook. we went to like a Welsh bistro type thing. food was average!
