Hi All, sorry to barge in but I'm hoping some of your regular members can help me out.
I'm a long standing member of the AVForums but was drawn to your own forums by some members who are users on both.
I recently made a purchase from a Mr Reid who used the same user name in both IE @Soundood.
Anyway, long story short, Mr Reid had decided to not only not provide the item I purchased, but also to ignore my messages, not provide a refund, but also to vanish from AVForums.
I'm led to believe that he also did the same to some of your members.
I've already reported everything to Police and Action Fraud, but was wondering if anyone could contact me to provide me any details they might have on the Guy.
I'm pretty sure I've got his name, address, date of birth, bank details as well as the details of his recently folded Electrician business, but just so I can furnish the Police with any and all information so hopefully he won't be able to do the same again to any unsuspecting forum users.
He only stole £25, but I'm a "principle" kind of Guy so plan on going all the way with this one.
The information gained will also be used to process through the small claims court.

I've managed to find his Linkedin profile but it sounds like you are past that point (and with 12 connections it's probably of dubious value).

I can't help feel he's lost it. He didn't sound on top of it when I met him a few years back but he didn't come across as nasty or unpleasant. He was a twat on the forum though and I had him blocked but I hope he's ok.

Do councils put 'to let' signs outside their homes? I thought that all they did was put them on an on line database when they became vacant so that people with enough 'points' could bid on them. Not sure.
I'm not sure whether your allowed to run a business from a council owner property either. I suspect many do though.

I agree. Its a good thing when people try and make there own way in my opinion. At the moment I have a long term lease on a property (not council though) and the tenancy agreement states that its not permissible to run a business from it - the same principal I guess. Its one of the reasons I rented an office in SW London sooner than I had intended.
I had him marked down as an idiot as soon as he appeared on the forum, but not as a crook. There’s several replies and quotes need editing here BTW, this being a public area.

Have any of the (understandably) aggrieved purchasers succeeded in getting through on Jason’s mobile number?
I make no comment in regard to his forum postings but I find this business rather sad and concerning. He’s not a kid but a middle aged self employed tradesman, so his apparent path of reputational autodestruction suggests some serious personal problem.
If my nearly decade on this forum has taught me anything is that we have some really miserable vindictive little twunts on here who take a great pleasure kicking other forum members when they are down and plastering their personal details on the open forum without having a clue what is going on with the chap in question and when he is not around to defend himself.
