Hi All, sorry to barge in but I'm hoping some of your regular members can help me out.

I'm a long standing member of the AVForums but was drawn to your own forums by some members who are users on both.

I recently made a purchase from a Mr Reid who used the same user name in both IE @Soundood.

Anyway, long story short, Mr Reid had decided to not only not provide the item I purchased, but also to ignore my messages, not provide a refund, but also to vanish from AVForums.

I'm led to believe that he also did the same to some of your members.

I've already reported everything to Police and Action Fraud, but was wondering if anyone could contact me to provide me any details they might have on the Guy.

I'm pretty sure I've got his name, address, date of birth, bank details as well as the details of his recently folded Electrician business, but just so I can furnish the Police with any and all information so hopefully he won't be able to do the same again to any unsuspecting forum users.

He only stole £25, but I'm a "principle" kind of Guy so plan on going all the way with this one.

The information gained will also be used to process through the small claims court.

I've managed to find his Linkedin profile but it sounds like you are past that point (and with 12 connections it's probably of dubious value).


Interestingly I note that he has English listed as an accomplishment; I suspect I'm not the only person to believe this may be over-stating the case.

I'm a noob, I never had any interaction with him. But why go to the trouble of gaining people's trust and rip them off for a measly £25.00 it's a bit daft isn't it. Look how easily everyone has found info on him....he can't hide really.

You say they share your POV, do you share their POV that it's Ok to bring a fellow member perceived race in the thread that has absolutely nothing to do with it and use it in the derogatory sense?
Second, you say the soundood details are available in the public domain - does it justify reposting them on the open forum rather than sending them by PM to the OP if you wanted to help him. 1) I haven't seen any racism displayed in this thread - or even comments on ethnicity - but if I'm part of a 'vile racist gang' are you calling them racist but excluding me?

2) Your scenario of 'a fellow member's son who tragically ended his own life' just seems bizarre as it doesn't have any bearing whatsoever on this thread or seem in any way analogous to it. Are you perhaps getting confused with someone/something else?
