@Carlton-Browne is the expert on UG on the forum, I’m sure he can assist if he is around.

The watch in question, 14k solid gold braclete, 18k solid gold case, i believe it Lapis Lazuli dial, 2-66 Micro rotor Automatic.
Had it valued for Insurance purposes back in 2097 for £4500.

The best way to research values on a Golden Shadow is to do a Sold items search on Ebay. Fortunately (or unfortunately in your case) the Golden Shadow hasn't been the victim of the, largely, Hodinkee-inspired bubble that has cropped up around the Polerouter, for example. I imagine that this has something to do with the fact that the Golden Shadow represents an era when the challenge was to produce the thinnest, most elegant wristwatch and their size is no longer fashionable. £4500 might work for an insurance valuation but bears no relation to market value. Please post some pictures if you can; we don't see enough of these. I have just the one:

I also have a few White Shadows.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Beautiful indeed! Every time I see a UG’s post I jump right in, but thanks to you I’ve managed not to buy anything yet.. as most UGs are way overpriced

I think you are posting images the wrong way. You need to embed them rather than attaching them, either using the Tapatalk app or a hosting service like Imgur.

    I've sent you an email.

I suggest that you edit out your email address (Simon - perhaps you could as well).

I was going to suggest you try TapTalk - but it hasn't worked for me ☹️

It's a difficult one to price scientifically as there is not a lot of data and it's not a very fashionable watch. My guess would be the scrap gold value with a £100-300 uplift for package. Did you get a chance to track any of the sold items on Ebay to see if there is any precedent. You could try to post the question on the UG forum but the likelihood, if you're just trying to gauge value, is that you won't get much of a response.

My next UG purchase is more likely to be a Polerouter with a bumper movement so it's not something I'd be interested in.
