What a shame, a great old trouper at 93.

Saw her in Tesco once and she used to attend Wimbledon FC matches when she was president of the supporters club.

    What a life she had.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

RIP June, my parents loved Terry and June, and I liked it but don't remember it really, though remember liking it. I remember her from AB Fab and LOTSW, and seeing her yearly, in something or other, or hearing her in voice-overs for commercials.

Just to counter balance all the gushing, a friend of mine rented a flat from June Whitfield back in the noughties. It was above her double garage in her driveway. Apart from insisting my friend park her car on the street because it was unsightly on June's massive drive, when my friend got pregnant, June promptly served her and her partner notice as she didn't want a baby in the flat.

Apart from that, lovely woman I'm sure.

There were some articles in 70's newspapers which she expressed, some views, which wouldn't be politically correct nowadays, apparently.

Many of us looking back held different views years ago.
Hardly the place for that discussion though.

Did you only ever watch telly for a single brief period in 1975?

Asking for friends of Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith
