Thanks for all your hard work. In their own way, a little bit of watch history....although I don’t know what it indicates beyond TZ.
One trend is the slow, apparent, decline of major ‘second tier’ brands such as IWC and Zenith. And Grand Seiko have finally stirred themselves; a sleeping giant ? Probably not. Patek haven’t outperformed themselves, which may reflect the economic position of TZ members. Many with mortgages and kids, and motorbikes...
And a whole host of small brands, all rowing away, merrily. Long may it continue.

Good work, thanks for this, all very, very interesting-who can predict the movers and shakers next year? Nice to see less expensive stuff make the wrists of the WIS :)

Interesting set of numbers; thank you for taking the time to compile them.

Casio up - likely to be the ďmust try one of thoseĒ reaction to the square anniversary G-Shocks

Tudor up - perhaps due to the popularity of the new GMT and BB58

Thanks (as usual) for posting this. It makes me appreciate that I am very fortunate to be able to choose from a number of watches. Some were expensive, others were at the opposite end of the scale. I was glad to contribute this lovely Majex to your 2018 figures, which cost the paltry sum of £25 from Mr Omidyar's website.

Cracking work mate, this is so cool!

Now a question - how many of you can say you were responsible for the appearance of an entire brand? I can probably take honours for all 10 of the Ming watch appearances - am sure a few of you have done something similar, be interested in which brands

I am still astonished that a relatively expensive brand like Rolex is the leader. Crazy. Panerai got an uplift which is awesome (I don't think I even contributed to the Panerai this yr....)

    Really interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Expect we will continue to see smaller brands creeping in and the bigger brands numbers reducing slightly. Seems to be the trend in a lot of places where consumers are looking for a bit more individuality again!

How does the forum traffic compare to last year? Would be interested to know whether any decline growth could be attributed to that...

At least two for me(R.A.I.M.S. and Timor) possibly more but can't be sure if they were mine or not(think the single Dugena might have been mine, same with the BWC and Waltham which are all gone now).

Thanks for this animalone, will be really cool after something like 5 years to see how trends have altered. One of my favourites CWC had certainly a decline in popularity in recent years here and that tend is reflected as a good chunk of those would have been mine and still that's a big drop from previous year.

I predict the downward trend for omega will be reversed next July with the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, every speed master on the forum will make an appearance.

At that price I think you should, love some of the 70s styles.

If you want a real challenge then let's see if we can find another one of these,

I think I might have the only Dugena to show up on a Friday although, way back in the past they went be a different name, Alpina, until about 1942.

I was sure I posted my Ingersoll skeleton watch one Friday. Or maybe it was last year.

We discussed this on one of the Friday threads in relation to GO. Quite a few members have one, but for many of us, not quite a 'Friday watch'.

This is an extraordinary piece of work and it makes fascinating reading.

Itís made me realise that although I post regularly on lots of threads, I actually contribute to the Friday Watch thread only rarely. If I was more regular, the Offshore Professional would certainly have appeared more than 8 times...
