A watch in its true environment - got any photos?

My lad is down in the Antarctic and he took this Seiko with him, nice to see a watch living where it was born to be used.

I was doing a mile flat out in the motor earlier today, and timing it on my Tudor Heritage BB Chrono - but struggled to also take a photo....

How about a Hanhart in a Bucker Bestmann?

Or a Stowa in a Spitfire? (OK maybe this one is actually out of its environment...)

I'm afraid that I don't know the exact reference but it's a 1965 Smiths Everest with 12.15 movement. The blued dauphine hands infilled with lume are shown off better in the image below.

Thanks very much for the additional info, I have the same watch but know very little about it.

Hi Mr Curta, It is a very handsome watch and as you say it doesn't appear in Barrie Smith's Compendium. Is it a screw on back or a snap on back and is it 34/5mm? It would be great to eventually find the missing years of Smiths catalogues, strange that they haven't turned up yet, maybe there wasn't any issued.
    Cheers

Excellent thread showing that not all watches end up sat on winders or stuck in a safe, hopefully many more contributions to come.
