National Lampoons Christmas Vacation......the only Christmas film I’ll ever watch
"The Grinch."
It reminds my daughter and myself of a family member.
Lampoons and ELF.
Aliens: the directors cut.
Monster Inc is on right now, a great movie
Die Hard!
And Home Alone and Elf are just a pleasure every time
RIAC
Home Alone 2 due in the hour......
Bad Santa is a deffo adult Xmas film lol - loved it
Miracle on 34th Street - the original from 1947 with Maureen O'Hara and 9 year-old Natalie Wood.
Arthur Christmas,
A Muppet Christmas Carol.
I've no idea why but Jingle All The Way makes the top of my list. Then Scrooged.
Lampoons and Home alone. Completely forgot about Die Hard. Good shout re Miracle on 34th street M K.
Fas est ab hoste doceri
The Bishop’s wife
(Traditionally played on US TV at Christmas when I was there in the early to mid seventies)
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
Scrooge, I can't believe nobody has said Scrooge. Surly the ultimate Christmas (not xmas) film, story, musical.

Respectfully, they are not christmas films are they?
Christmas films to me are films with a christmas theme, not any old film you might watch at Christmas.
Otherwise I'd have voted for 'let the right one in' (Swedish version)
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Home alone
Where Eagles Dare is. It's snowing.

Another Jingle All The Way vote here! Closely followed by Die Hard
If i had to pick a classic favourite it'd also be It's a wonderful life, but Scrooged always gets watched here too.
Introduced my 16 year old to Trading Places on Christmas Eve this year, which i'd say still counts as an Xmas film. Little nervous that it would fall flat but she did like it, although some of the language (negro etc) was a little too 'of the time' for her.
Great escape
And of course where eagles dare
actual xmas movie: scrooged
required viewing if on tv: zulu, great escape, towering inferno, italian job etc etc
ktmog6uk
