    PRS-82 Straps

So this has been a popular launch for Eddie. With it came a period style silicone strap and a navy blue NATO. Owners are already discussing strap options so I thought I'd collate the images so far of it on different straps and invite everyone to comment and post their own pics. I'm personally wanting to get it on some leather options, both black and brown, but haven't braved the minefield yet!

    Enjoy:

Shot #6 (the brown leather NATO) is mine and is a MkII NATO made by David Boettcher specially for this watch.

    More info here:

IMHO, the '82 is the first dive watch I've ever had that suits brown leather, it's the aged lume that does it.

After years of liking dive watches AND also liking brown leather straps but hating the pairing of them (*those two TOGETHER - ugh!*) it finally works. Yay, as my teenage daughter says.

I'm also wearing it on an ultra soft and supple oiled leather NATO from Crown & Buckle - a very comfy fit. I'll post some pics when I get round to it.

Thanks for those many options. Personally, even though I'm not a huge NATO fan, I think the 82 looks excellent on the blue NATO but best on the sand coloured one. It compliments the lume really well.

I've replaced a Steinhart OVM with the Precista PRS-82...they are very similar with the aged lume and therefore there are loads of options available. In terms of Nato/Zulu straps, my favourite colour is Admiralty Grey...will be ordering a 20mm one very shortly.

If anyone hasn't seen the Worn & Wound review of the Steinhart OVM, I've linked to it below; the review shows various strap options, all of which would apply equally well to the PRS-82 IMO.

That's a great link mate, thanks for that. The khaki strap looks fantastic.

Here's a 22mm ammo strap I've shoe-horned onto the PRS-82. It was one of my favourites to use with the Steinhart OVM and think it suits the PRS-82 quite nicely.

    [ I have just ordered a PRS 82]

That strap colour looks good - what brand / source is the strap ? and how tight a fit is 22mm ?

    cheers

Doh, I was going to get the C&B 'Shipyard' for the PRS-82 but OOS.

I've got a 'Marina' in 22mm, might shoehorn on.

From all the pictures, this is an especially great looking watch as Eddie has done it and I genuinely think it looks good on pretty much all watchbands it's been shown on so far. Like somebody's already said, I also think that the aged lume has at least something to do with that.

Of the shots of alternate bands so far, though, Schofie, I think I liked the last two you've shown above best --- Rev-O's custom reddish-brown leather NATO and also the one following showing the '82 on what looks to my eye a black (unless it's the included dark navy blue) nylon NATO. Looks outstanding on both and it might be that the aged lume/white font/black bezel/matte stainless finish of the '82 contrasts especially well with those two particular colour/texture watchbands

I'm not lucky enough to have an 82 but I'll chip in that I think the navy blue nato suits it best - I have a 22mm navy blue on my 6309 and I love it.

I wholeheartedly agree, so much that I have ordered the leather NATO that Rev-O gives such a good review of. 2-3 weeks lead time for them to make it, I reckon they've had a little cluster of orders based on Rev-O's pictures.

I wouldn't doubt that a bit. Excellent price for a made-to-order leather NATO too

If I dare spend the additional time at the point of ordering I may do something similar-£9 from Eddie in 20mm

Just had a play with some of my straps even though I really like the rubber (which surprised me).
Not taken with the navy blue but need to see it in daylight, suspect will look much better.
Eddies black nato - love it.
Black Eulit perlon - Love it too.
Dark brown oiled saddle leather strap by SteveO - gorgeous. The brown just lifts bezel and case while enhancing the lume.

This watch is bloody beautifull. I'm sat here with the 82 on one wrist and my speedbird on the other - happy as a pig in s**t

I've just sold two of the sand / black of these on SC and you're right, it would look fantastic on the 82.

Well serial strap swapper that I am I just tried the speedbird nato and I like it. Smart, as with the speedbird itself.
Next a black pvd Rhino from Timefactors. This gives the watch a lot of presence and emphasises the lovely bezel. It takes away the smartness and and looks ready to work (or dive).

    Pics tomorrow

    I wouldn't put a PVD'd strap with a SS case...but that's just me.

I really like the rubber strap that comes with the PRS-82 but on the rubber the crown was digging in the back of hand slightly.

I changed to the supplied navy blue nato which looked pretty good but I since ordered a YAB timefactors nato and I've been wearing this combination ever since. It looks much better in real life than my crappy photo suggests. I've not worn any other watch since this watch arrived

  28. #28
Stupidly, the only straps I *don't* like the 82 on are the two it came with!

But it's the first diver I've ever had that looks good on brown leather (thanks, I think, to the aged lume).

As I love brown leather straps, I'm a happy man.

    rubber strap on PRS-82

I think the watch is great it looks great and feel fantastic on my wrist

However on the whole I like the rubber strap but the one with the watch seems to attract lint and bits of cotton in the air

can you recommend a rubber strap which might not have these faults.

Eddie great watch and as always wonderful service.

Yes, maybe a bit too red but a nice looking strap none the less.

Here's my '82 on one of David Boettcher's "normal" standard two-piece strap in dark brown.

It's simple, classic and thin enough for any shirt cuffs to slip over. I like it. A lot.

I'm a bracelet man through and through but I'm sorry to say that I think that bracelet completely kills the '82.

I have just put it on the 82 and I am not sure myself either, I think it belongs on rubber or a NATO.

What is special about Shell Cordovan Leather. I have seen quite a few straps that could be suitable to be used on PR82 like the whisky colour but seem quite expensive

I think that the silicon that Eddie supplied it with is perfect, but I always find silicon a bit uncomfortable so I just changed it to a real rubber strap that looks as similar as I could find.

I'd like to see an oyster bracelet on the 82.

Natos or thick leather otherwise, although recently I've had it on the rubber...but mm not too sure if I like it tbh.

So anyone have theirs on an Oyster......not a mesh seen that doesn't suit it IMO.

Sorry for the lazy iPhone pics, but what do you guys think of it on a di modell chronossimo? I'm not entirely convinced as I just feel the case shape is just made for a NATO.
