Excellent price. Cheapest I'd seen before this was 225 for the PADI version.

    Thank you buddy

I've been after one of these since I spotted one of these in John Lewis on Oxford Street (I think) but wasn't keen on the price tag.

I recently saw one of these at Heron and sons for £275 plus a further 10% off bringing it to £247.50, I thought great, went on in the next few days to purchase and it was out of stock (it was black Friday).

Just managed to sit down, logged onto tz and was about to search the 'denim/jeans thread' as I need a new pair and saw your post.

£189.50, bargains!! I collect it on Thursday

Nor going to search for the jeans thread.

Thank you sir! & Merry Christmas

May be 8 very shortly...thanks for the heads up.

Now. What is a tuna? Genuine question. My first foray into Seiko ownership

Tuna, or tuna can is just a reference to the shape of the case of this particular class of seiko dive watches
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

    Thanks and a Merry Christmas

    Right

    Marvellous

Looking forward to seeing this. Gold is not my colour at all so this may well be on SC pretty soon. But at least I get to wear it and see how it feels before deciding whether I keep or not

I picked up a jdm solar tuna limited edition when i was in tokyo last year. Very similar but with aged lume. Ace watch, wears alot smaller than expected due to the honking great bezel.
    Cheers!

Wow, can't wait for this one to get reduced one day!

Shocked to see JL will be selling it.

If you're out and about near a John Lewis it's worth popping in for a look. I've just picked the last one up at the Trafford centre which was still marked at full price (which is why it was probably still there).

I'm assuming they knocked it down?

Some retailers say their online and in-store prices are different and won't 'price match'

    Well done.

My local store don’t even have a watch dept! I’ve called up and he said he could get one sent from another store but according to the chap no stores have stock anyway.

No sign of mine yet. Gives me time to look for some good strap alternatives. Anyone found anything that goes well, rubber or nato/zulu with gold hardware for these?

You don’t like the stock strap? Should be one of the newer supple ones (John?). Love them.

I love the new straps. I had one on the Blue Tuna but after wearing it for a while it started to deteriorate quite badly. Plus any excuse for some new strap browsing!

Realised that the sales woman has given me the wrong box. Means I’ll have to pop back and see if they’ll swap it for the correct one (although I suspect that they will have lost it!)

Slightly more than the black/good version, the SNE497P1 is available here
    https://www.watcho.co.uk/Watches/Sei...-SNE497P1.html
The promo code win5 brought it down to below £250 and they include a nato strap and an extra years warranty.
Now has any one got a Yobokies shroud going spare?

Not too bad I guess considering the bracelet.

The black/gold looks the best to me. I half expected to find it somewhere else on sale (as often happens with these things) but sadly not.

I did have a sbbn tuna but my Dad fell for it when he visited me a few weeks ago and I let him have it. Wish I’d kept it really, saw the John Lewis deal & thought the replacement was coming.

    I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

If anyone is interested I found two listed at full price in John Lewis today. Bought both.

£200 each should cover the packaging and postage or alternatively list price if collecting. I'm in Hertfordshire.

First two to message can have if not I'll return them next week.

Mine has arrived, and I've just taken it out the box to try on... not really for me.

If anybody's still after one let me know. (I did notice that the card is unstamped, as a matter of record.)

    Now claimed :)
