On the watch front, probably this . . .
. . . or, just possibly . . . .

Torn between these two. Both SC purchases.

Scary when you look back at 2018 acquisitions. 8 in total & about 28k (good grief)
But my favourite must be olive dial 34mm op as it's something she actually likes and wears just about everyday.

No watches this year...this moved me more
I picked this up as it was different to my normal diver collection, nearly sold it, then came to my senses!!!
Only one this year - bought on my honeymoon

After not having ridden a bike for over 20yrs, I decided to try getting back in the saddle this year... so this little putt-putt was my favourite acquisition.
Bought 2 watches this year.
I honestly enjoy wearing the Casio as much as the Rolex.
This wins by default. I am keeping to my one watch a year plan... boring I know!

Only the two this year, but overwhelmingly the Ming 19.01. Technically I paid for it in 2017, but only got it in October. A long wait but so worth it.
I’d go as far as saying it’s been elevated to one of my favourite watches I own, period. Just awesome!
It is a close fought battle but this one was my grail and remains my most worn watch this year.
Its rival was this
Two incomings for me, an A-13A Pilot and Tudor's BB36. I wear the A-13A more frequently however it's the BB36 that just nudges ahead.

This Tudor Hydronaut is my favourite this year. Put it on a generic oyster bracelet while I’m looking for a proper Hydronaut one.
When thinking back for this thread I surprised myself to find just one significant watch acquisition this year. So, an easy choice:
Oh, and this strap (!):
This one. Still can’t believe I have it

This brought the biggest smile to my face: a manual gearbox + 6L of naturally aspirated V12 British Beef.
The MV Corsa was pretty satisfying with its torquey radial valved engine, unique for an IL4.
The BLNR was a nice addition too as I found myself travelling over 50 long haul flights logged in 2018.
My head says it's the Longines Legend Diver I bought back in January, but my heart says it's this G Shock! I was always in the "cheaper is better" school of G Shockery but the purchase of a G Steel in May for a friend's birthday changed that, I bought its big brother a week later and then sold it to make way for this:
Has to be this, also my only watch purchase this year....

Tough call for me as I went a bit nuts this year with far too many arriving. If I had to call my favourite would have to be this.

Having joined TZ this year it was always going to be expensive. 5 watches bought, but this was definitely the best (and most expensive):
And I also mirrored Tony’s journey:

Some serious purchases here !!
Mines a touch more modest with Tudor BBGMT and Harrods edition. Could have bought a Rolex GMT CHNR last week but decided against it.
Advancing years, quieter tastes. Beautifully simple

Undoubtedly this; very good looking, functional and well put together...
Best of all, it came with a free watch!
