    Minase watches

Came across Minase watches on chrono24, as I have a strong liking fo square or rectangular watches, I find these very interesting especially the Horizon.
The strong angular flat surfaces combined with the curve of the crystal works for me, the open date appeture will be a big no for some, but I don’t dislike it.
Anybody here have one or seen them in the steel?

Wow, I wasn't expecting much but those look fantastic. The Seven Windows for me please. Some great original designs without falling into the overly weird category.

There are a couple more at the bottom of the link, on bracelets.

Has anyone bought one? The dials on the divido range look like they could be either amazing or awful...

Saw those review on one of the website, don't remember exactly but sounds really interesting so checked it out and I like it.
Having said, quite expensive and sort of watches that require to inspect it in person being unusual design.

Saw one today on a friend visiting from Thailand who picked it up in Tokyo and good grief was it special in a Grand Seiko-meets-Audemars Piguet-meets Linde Werdelin way. I had to do it. The finishing was wonderful. So let's see

The Divido is one of my favourite watch designs right now (I even suggested one a few hours ago on the £4k watch thread!) but unfortunately I'm about £3.5k short of the price tag at the moment... Looking forward to seeing a review on here.

It's come in from Japan to Switzerland where it is being Fedexed to me. Went for the Divido with blue dial on bracelet. Completed payment today which is somewhat fortuitous as with today's Brexit deal developments it ended up working out around 3% cheaper due to conversion rate. After VAT incost will be around £4.1k.

Excited to see your photos and hear your thoughts. Fantastic design and blue dial would be my pick too!

Like mindforge, that would have been my pick too. This is the first time for a long time I've been looking forward to seeing someone else's incoming watch!

    Looks very interesting
Personally prefer black on bracelet but that is a personal color preference
Look forward to seeing Ryan’s pics.

It arrived today. It is unbelievable. I will do a full review with proper pics but here are a couple of phone snaps. BTW the bracelet is held together by witchcraft. No screws in the links (hence super light) but made it an absolute bar steward to adjust and I had to take it to a watchmaker to do it.

Finishing is ABOVE Grand Seiko on the case. Bracelet is better than the Royal Oak. This is one insane watch

Enough for now, much more to be revealed when I do the review.

Basic phone snaps which don't do justice at all other than to show what it looks like

Not really as my pics make it look cheap but I'll get my wife to take pics on the SLR later and you'll see what it is really like.

The wrist shot tells me what I want to know.
After so many years, I think I have developed a sense for what will tickle my fancy even from less than optimal pics:-)

That does look good. It seems Minase will be making an appearance at the watchmakers club next month, so looking forward to some hands on time!
