Generally the Exp II doesn’t really take well to straps and (subjectively) looks best on a bracelet.
Although if you want to mix things up, it does look pretty good on a jubilee 🙂

I think one of the nylon straps from Everest would look good.

    Inspiration explorer II strap options

I’ll be controversial and say orange ISOfrane or Rubber B.

Although that only works on the 42mm Explorer 2 with the orange secondhand and I’ve just noticed that yours is the 40mm with the red one

I got myself an army green canvas and think it dresses the watch down really well - kind of suits the 'explorer' vibe I thought.

Must admit though - it's back on the bracelet now!

I love to wear mine on a canvas strap from Red Rock Straps:

I think that contrary to popular opinion Explorer II does look OK on leather straps. It does not look very good on Borealis rubber, because of strap is too thick and does not tapper.

Today I am wearing on Morellato nylon strap.

That's my opposite. It's one of my favourites to wear on anything but the bracelet.

Natos, perlons and sailcloth straps all work well with it.

I particularly like the RAF, and Italian flag Natos on this.

Steel bracelet for me always. Steel bracelet steel bezel, white dial = super cool

At a push, maybe a white rubber b or Everest type strap. I might do that for a ski trip.

Couple of things that I have tried. Did not like it on leather, loved it on NATO for the summer.

I don't own one, and never actually have, but in my eyes nothing even comes close to the steel bracelet in terms of looks. All the other options seem like an afterthought to me....

While I posted a couple of pictures on leather, I have to agree with those that say it looks best on the bracelet.

Amended the quote, but agree with the observation. Tried mine on leather, nato, perlon etc and the watch always looks a bit small and lightweight. On the bracelet it gets back its tool-watch looks and wears just right.

Echoing the red/white/black dial colours on a Nato

Agree with both posts above, tried all the combinations available in the "strap man-cave drawer" 40mm can only go well on the wrist on a bracelet, imho of course.
