NSN = 66 (Scientific instrument), 45 (Time keeping device), 99 (UK Identifier), remaining numbers identify the specific item (eg CWC fixed bar watch).
    As already quoted, W10 = army, 0552 = RN, pre 1993. Pre '93 RN used 0552 & RM used 0555. Post '93, RN & RM both use 0555.
The number ending with the year is the XXXth watch / produced in X year & there is usually an individual serial number, used by the unit for stock control.
The PRODUCTION number is not an indicator of ISSUE. It's the contract year only. A watch might have been produced for an MOD contract, accepted by the MOD & kept in stores until disposal onto the civilian market, never having been issued to a unit or seeing service.
A "T" or an "L" on the dial refers to Tritium or Luminova illumination.
