Sinn; they flirt with the engineer style but the archetypal Sinn bracelet is the H-link with slightly rounded-off centre-link. Exact finishing dependent on the model it is being stuck to, but you see this bracelet and only one brand comes to mind.
I have realised that the Rolex Day Date, has from the start, been defined by the striking 'Presidential' bracelet. That's what marks-out this design, and has since the 1950s.
So which other watches are defined by their bracelets...or straps, come to that.
The IWC Big Pilot comes to mind, with those big studs on the strap. Unmistakable.

Not sure the bracelet defines the watch as such but pretty close, the octagonal Zenith Defy with the Gay Freres ladder bracelet. The watch is not the same without it IMO.
VC are pretty distinctive and instantly recognisable
The Tissots that sport the distinctive “T” in the bracelet:
Royal Oak is simply stunning.

Yes, the Royal Oak bracelet is pretty special. And directly associated with the watch. Which is, I think, a key feature; the bracelet becomes an 'advert' for the watch. You can't mistake it.
If I think of a Rolex bracelet I think oyster not president.
I agree to a point with Sinn but other German brands use the same bracelet eg. Tutima
The Navitimers bracelet is quite distinctive.
The beads of rice is always a Doxa in my head though.
What about Cartier bracelets? Pretty distinctive and I remember years ago being approched by the lucky lucky man on the beach in Portugal wanting to sell me the most hideos, unrecognisable Santos.....aside from the distinctive bracelet.
I've always thought Breitling to have distinctive bracelets. Not that the watches themselves aren't distinctive either.
I don't believe bracelets define a watch but they can contribute to, or detract from, the sense of overall quality.

I immediately thought of the BoR bracelets for Doxa, as well.
The other one that springs to mind would be the bracelet on the 1st generation Seiko Monsters.

Jubilee
I think Rolex have a particular problem with the Day Date which has forced them to design a very distinctive bracelet. This is the problem:
Compare and contrast with this.
The top-of-the-range DayDate is strikingly similar to the humble Datejust. Only the Presidential bracelet visually separates the two designs unless you get up close. So for more than sixty years it has had to do a lot of work for the brand.
Other Rolex bracelets are closely associated with specific models, but don't 'define' the watch in the same manner. Thus the new Pepsi can adopt a Jubilee bracelet without much problem.
I doubt that Rolex could do that with a DayDate.

the Sky Dweller esp the base model could be a DJ from a distance which wouldn't bother me. IWC had a 'pyramid' bracelet.
Not sure if it’s too broad but for me Jubilee = Rolex Datejust, Oyster bracelet = Rolex ‘sports’
I might even say Jubilee 2 tone = DJ, Oyster SS = ‘sports’

True, but it does remind me of the tutima bracelet which in general terms is broadly similar but much more sculpted. The tutima bracelet just screams 'tutima' to me.
The iwc 3536 bracelet is also very unique, as is the one on the iwc /porsche design diver.
Those are the ones that spring to mind.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
The modern moon watch bracelet is pretty iconic I'd have said.
I would think if you know the watch by the bracelet another icon has to be the SMP bracelet.
The Gay Freres bracelets that used to adorn Eterna Kontikis have to be fairly iconic.
Also, who could forget the infamous pieces of hair-pulling crap that came with every Vostok Amphibia
Ebel with their 'wave' bracelet and Breitling with their 'slightly squif' bracelet. Excellent photos of both on this thread:

Jubilee without a doubt - it’s stunning.
I’ve always thought the jubilee was a bit old fashioned I guess as growing up I knew a few older people that had them, then I got my Pepsi and realised what I’d been missing. It totally makes this watch and it’s become my favourite by far - something I never thought I’d say. I’m sure I’ll own more in the future.
Seamaster bracelets are absolutely awful in my opinion, its really put me off buying on in the past. I toyed with getting one and putting it on a speedie bracelet and that improves the look massively.
I'm pretty old and I love the Jubilee...but I liked it when I was a lot younger. It's just so elegant; despite that, it seems to work fine on a sports model. I think we'l see more of it, if only as an option. It doesn't define any particular model, but it certainly changes the look quite a lot.

Have to agree about the Ebel Wave. I bought a two tone one in the late 90s mainly because of bracelet.

Yes I think you’re right, we’ll see a lot more of it I think . Having seen it on the BLNR and hulk it looks really good. Maybe if it’s true and the BLNR is being discontinued/upgraded that might be a new option. I wouldn’t be surprised if the hulk goes too and a new ceramic version of the old Kermit comes out with a jubilee option.
TAG Link bracelet?
I think that is pretty defining as bracelet.
Looks cr@p and overwhelms the head of the watch. Supposed to be the most comfortable bracelet out there but looks pants.
Royal Oak is the iconic bracelet imo, closely followed by jubilee and oyster.
Panerai bracelets are pretty nice and seem to have a constant theme...
Love the bracelet on the AP. I think it’s the most exquisite bracelet as it’s shimmery but not overly blingy.

Its another vote for the Royal Oak from me.
I mean can anyone tell me it gets any better than this?
