These Genta designs are so skilfully integrated.

No sure about being "defined by" but the bracelets on these are synonymous with the watches

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Another not 'defined' by the bracelet, but bordering on the iconic. The Grand Seiko 'grains of rice' bracelet; dropped for years, but resurrected recently.

It doesn't have to be expensive to be a contender! Not strictly a bracelet but the humble Swatch has to be up there. The watches came in many colours and designs but the strap shape is unmistakable with its morticed lug holes and has barely changed over it's lengthy production run.
Well yes, cost isn't the main criteria. I think you could argue that the Swatch integrated case harks back to the 70s and Gerald Genta integrated bracelets. I wouldn't be surprised to see that approach make a wider return.
And to think, these basic Swatch designs helped the Swiss watch industry back onto its feet.
Well that’s an early to mid 70’s el primero but you’re right the same bracelet was used by Breitling and many other manufacturers in the 70’s including zodiac, Omega even Patek on some beta 21s! Not much info out there on it but as you’ll know it’s really solid and chunky and everyone wants extra links!
The first ones that sprang to mind were
BoR for the Doxa and both the President and the Oyster for Rolex, I've had all 3 and the President was a thing of beauty.
The one i didn't see up to now is the mesh on the Omega Ploprof, difficult to see that watch on anything else.
I was always very taken by the intricate quality of the bracelet on my Jaeger LeCoultre Gran Sport.

I.m surprised no one has mentioned the Damasko bracelet. Right from the time it was announced there's been a lot of discussion.
IMHO it is very well made bracelet. Not in town so will add pictures later.
