My GS SBGR053. The pinnacle of the Seiko watch design I had been buying into at the budget end for years, as a quartz and a Seiko 5. Only affordable as I inherited a small amount of money from my grandmother. This, along with my Tuna I bought in Japan on my honeymoon and GW5000 are all the watches I need (but where would the fun be with that....) and the ones I will never sell.

It is referred to as the ”Dime MD edition” Tuna, a very limited run of 50 watches made in 2010 especially for a japanese lifestyle magazine for an aticle/edition under the theme of ’from the board room to the beach’ or something like that. AFAIK these have no official model/reference number and were never sold through any ADs, only distributed through the magazine (but not 100% certain about the latter).

Hard choice since it would come down to 3
16600 which i've has been with me a long time and i've had quite a few adventures to prove it.
AP Diver, which like the Rolex has been had a good life and the scars to proove it (oooops)

Ultimately though, it has to be the Moser PC.
I wear it pretty much daily, since it's a looker, decently sized, flies under the radar, and its handy that i never have to worry about playing around with the date.
Power reserve is decent too, so its good to go after it has a few days off and i'm rotating something else from the watchbox

We could start a thread with these, to quote Led Zeppelin - There's no one quite like Grandma.

Some lovely watches on this thread.

This is my most precious watch, that no amount of money could buy. Bequeathed to my by my father-in-law, he wore it every day from the time he was given it new in 1989. Every mark on it is a reminder to me of the incredible life that he lived. I think about him every day, and when I wear it he is still with me.

I'm not sure - I wear it regularly, though.

Lovely watches, the Moser PC and 5513 are standouts for me.

Here's a bad pic of my FPJ Octa RDM. Must get some better pics next time I fish it out. The rose-gold movement is spectacular, but you'll have to imagine it for now!

Wait until he's 30. An 18 year old will trash that watch! And won't grasp its value- on any level.

late 80's Zenith Mistral, well used, but it just glows with warmth, a little machine with a significant past...

This one. My late father's watch given to him by his father in 1946 and now with me. I don't often wear it but it's what really got me started on owning watches. Nothing really comes close to this for me.

Not an easy one for me, as I’ve got several favourites.

It’s a tough call between the 5513 and a chronograph, which could equally be the 2446 or 11630 GMT.

If pressed, I’d have to pick this as the one that would be the last one to go (so I guess the most ‘loved’).

I often consider selling this one as I mainly wear a 114060 but it stays, even though it's just not as comfortable.

    The Rolex YM2.
I like the other models that I have or had but can't say that I love them.

Yes, bought new in 1946 (confirmed by Longines) and engraved to my father on the back. It’s a 13ZN movement which I believe was the first “Flyback” chrono

I think I still own it - I just can't find it... One of these (not my photo) - except mine still has the black PVC tropical strap and display box that it came in :

Why? - sentimental value. Xmas present 1970.
