    Luther

According to the ginger one on his annoying radio 2 programme Alice (Ruth Wilson) is back for the new Luther series. It was widely thought she died in the last series but not so, it must be Xmas.

That’s her, in a playful mood, almost kittenish.

She’s already confirmed in TV interviews that she’s in the new series.

I’ve just finished watching all four seasons of The Affair, so I’m well into her at the moment

I only became aware of Luther a couple of months ago, can't quite fathom how I missed it when it came out. Got so involved with it, binge watching and so angry with the failings of Iplayer on my Smart TV when I spent 20 minutes unsucessfully trying to get episode three of season 4 to play that I threw the remote through the TV in rage.

Imagine how silly I felt when, on buying a new TV, I found out that there were only two episodes in season 4. Who makes a season with only two episodes?

Anyway, hopefully this season will last longer. Very excited.

I just discovered Luther this past week. I'd read about it in various places but tbh didn't want to watch it cos I knew I'd get hooked.

Well, all five series devoured in less than 3 days!

Alice stole the show for me. She is absolutely brilliant and a shame she's been killed off. Or has she...?

Having just watched all series of Luther, she (and George the Gangster) are by far the best things in it.

As for the plot lines. They can at best be considered predicable. Involving a mumbling Luther chasing/catching a nutter, one of Luther's colleagues getting murdered, Luther making a series of very poor/unlucky personal choices (some which are illegal) having a massive sulk, whilst either in hiding, or sitting in his house/slum.

In short rather predicable and depressing, lifted only by the tragic/comic imput of Alice and George.

    IMHO of course

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

I am disgusted with myself for watching the utter garbage that was the last series . Idris Elba trying to walk like a scouser was risible .
