Very very nice watch Eddie. Thanks for sorting out all the trouble with my card.

Photographed next to g10 for size comparison. Strap is a haveston canvas.

This is a much, much better watch than the 53 or the old 29 which I had. Just imo of course.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

That is a seriously good looking watch - strap is great too. Be sure to update us on the wear of the Canvas strap.

Wear that bad boy in good health!

Sorry to bore the tits off everyone but this is a seriously good watch. The quality of the case, dial and finishing is amazing for the money. Sapphire brings it up a notch. The way this curves into the bezel is very well done indeed. Very pretty profile on this watch. Love the washing machine sound of the rotor. 36 is the new 42. No idea why people go for such big lumps of steel hanging off their wrist. Love the size. Love the simple signed S on the crown. My ageing eyes really appreciate the legibility. Fanboy Dave.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

That's a good question. I didn't notice anything about vat when I ordered. It was 320gbp. Does that include vat?

I don’t think so? You tell me:
    I paid...

    £320 watch
    £32 shipping
    £66 Canada tax & duties

    Looks like the kipper’s knickers!
(I left my screwdrivers to size the bracelet somewhere else...)

Yes, got it, very nice! I put it on an old and used Nato strap that was waiting for more than ten years for this Explo^W Everest.

Many thanks to Eddie and Merry Christmas for everyone!

Thought I'd be wearing this on the bracelet, but some of the strap options posted thus far are really making me reconsider ... looks amazing on leather, canvas or NATO !!! Hopefully mine arrives tomorrow ... :)

As I expected (as I have a Citizen 'Excalibur' dive watch with a similar fitting) the clasp is thicker than you want really, especially on a smaller watch like this, and I think a lot of people would probably have preferred a standard clasp with a taper to 16 mm on the bracelet. Then again these extendable clasps are a real boon on hot days. A lot of people will prefer to wear it on a leather strap anyway.

I also have the Citizen Excalibur and found the ratchet clasp a bit long so swapped it for a fold over clasp, might be an option to explore.

I’m jealous, got to wait until Tuesday for mine. Going to put it on a dark brown cordovan for the big day.

Keep the pics coming, I need my fix whilst I wait...

Great work on this and a stirling job to get them all shipped across the globe in time for Christmas

Its a JPM vintage - tried the bracelet but the clasp doesn't work for me so it will be living on leather from now on.

    Well of course.

Not me under the drill but the current Mrs V. I was simply there to provide moral support and pay the bill.

Knowing that the parcel was waiting for my at home was more agonising that root canal treatment in my opinion.

I cant recall the last time that I was excited to open a parcel.

To say that I am impressed by this would be an understatement, its fabulous!

I don't like the bracelet especially the very chunky clasp, however I'm not a bracelet fan anyway so the fact that it came straight off that onto leather does not detract in anyway from my pleasure at having got my hands on number 41. Its on a Hirsch Duke at the moment but I may try it in something darker soon and I think that it would suit a grey TF Nato very well too.

The size is perfect and the standard of finish including the dial design, hands and crown is way better than the nearest other thing to a 1016 the ZEX.

    Outstanding lume too

That's better (for my taste) than the strap you had on it earlier, which was very nice (I have a similar one for my Archimede Deck watch) but too dressy for this watch. The darker colour works better too. IMHO.

mine is at the local sorting office as after 8 days working from home (shoulder injury) I felt I needed to go in today - will pick it up 'on the way in' tomorrow (it's actually in the other direction but only 5 mins).

Would love to keep it on the bracelet but never do - occasionally use cheap ebay bracelets but they get scratched to b@ggery - so nato or leather it will be.

had the original, nice enough but plain due to the size (a bit like the 39mm explorer in spite of the bling) so hoping at this condensed size it works (rolex obviously believed so for many years).

I've had a tatty original zeno explorer and one of the more recent examples that didn't work for me so we'll see how this goes - have the recent black dialled '29 and wear it regularly / equally alongside my more expensive watches (Seamaster 2531 / Speedmaster Pro / 1995 Rolex 14060) and that is in no way the cheap alternative just another watch for a another day, this will hopefully slot into the pattern.

It looks fantastic. My only question is the second hand lollipop ...on Eddie's dial close up the lollipop hits just touches the indices, but on the latest pictures it appears to overlap. Is it just an artefact of the angle that the images are taken at?

The bracelet tapers from 20mm to 18mm.

The next to be released riveted bracelet will taper from 20 to 16 mm and, hopefully, with a simple "old style" clasp.

Looking at mine I would say... using the Mk.1 eyeball:

    Overlaps the hashes by 0.5-1mm
    Overlaps 9 by 1mm
    Overlaps triangle by 1.5-2mm
    Overlaps 3 by 0.0 - 0.25mm
    Overlaps 6 by 2mm
