    PRS-25 Everest 36mm update

The watches were shipped to me today by UPS. Assuming (hoping) they don't mess around with customs (there's a lot to pay), I expect to receive them by Friday this week. If I do, they will be on sale next week but if not, it will be the new year.

If I have them on Friday, here's the plan.

Photograph and update the site over the weekend
Open on Tusday morning and stay open until 1600 hrs or until 50 orders are received, whichever is the sooner
Ship all international orders first so they arrive in time for Christmas
Ship all UK orders Thursday and Friday (or earlier if not a lot of international orders)
Close for Christmas break when all orders are shipped

I'm confident I can clear 50 orders by the end of next week so everyone should receive them in time for Christmas.

I've purchased watches from across the spectrum from Seiko to Rolex and JLC and I am not exaggerating when I say this is as excited as I have been to purchase a watch.

My father had a 1016 Explorer that he had to sell when he got in some financial trouble in the 80s. He didn't make much money on it and before he died he talked about how much he loved that watch and what a shame it was he couldn't have left it for me. I always wanted to replace it, but the current Rolex models didn't do it for me and the 1016 prices have gone crazy. This is the perfect watch to remember him. Thanks Eddie for this!

Eddie, I know this may not be the best place but I will need to either ship the watch to a Diplomatic Post Office (I am in the military) or a UPS store in the US that I could swing by when I am in the US on 24 December. Would that be possible?

Excellent news but I will be cautious and won't believe it till I see it.

Genuinely appreciate the update Thank you.

    What's the expected price?

Errrr My guess around £330 plus or minus a smaller sapphire crystal cost?

    Hi Eddie
Know you must be snowed under at the moment, but I did think that you said in another thread that the prs45 aerotimer would be shipped from your supplier together with the new prs25... Is this the case? Any chance at all of the 45 appearing before Christmas? Thanks. Dave
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I think we should start a sweep stake on when the shop closes... 10.23am I reckon!

This would have been extremely popular anytime of year, let alone with xmas around the corner...

Can't wait to see the photos on the weekend. Maybe even a cheeky wrist shot on Friday!

    – how many are in this first batch Eddie?

I held off buying a watch for my sons 21st last week so he can get one of these which all going well I will give him at Christmas instead.
Expect a guilt trip sob story to follow if I don't get one.

I would love to see a side my side wrist shot if the two sizes when the 36mm arrive. I have been waiting for the 36mm to make a decision on which one to go for.

Had a look in the other Everest thread but couldn’t find a conclusion on the 36mm bracelet - did it end up tapering to 16mm?

Not on the black dial, it was too late to make the change. It will taper to 16mm on the white dial but that won't have the new clasp.

    Hi Eddie,
Could you confirm the lug to lug and height on the 36mm, please?
    Thanks!

The lug to lug is shown on the drawing and I won't know the thickness until I measure it.

If the first batch of 36mm black dials sells out will there be a second batch, and if so will they have the 16mm taper?

Thanks Eddie - tbh I couldn’t decide between the options, just curious! Plus as my first watch with drilled lug holes I’m looking forward to playing with different styles.

Oh Yes! To my eyes that 36mm is perfect (but mine are old eyes). It gives my Explorer a run for its money. i may now consider selling my old model Everest.

That 36mm looks the bee's knees and dare I say it better proportioned than his larger brother.

That dial works really well, I love the proportions. No accusations of short-handedness there either.

That looks damned good. Proportions look spot on.

(I'm holding out for the white dial 36mm, it'll complement the black dial 39mm rather nicely I think.)
