Benefits of buying from your smaller store

Got to report my experience with Waltons Chester while looking and purchasing my most recent watch the Breitling Superocean Heritage 44 .. they spent nearly two hours withe trying on Breitling a few Bremont and different sizes.. I settled on the blue 44 superocean which I loved on the wrist.. great experience and matched my work discount to boot.
After just two days of wearing it , watch is running 18 seconds fast per day.. out of COSC and not great.. one phone call and they are ordering me a replacement for collection asap.. might be a delay as they have only just had the 44 in stock.. without a prompt from me the manager told me to just continue to wear this and not to worry about any scratches etc as it os their responsibility .. you wont get that from online or some retailers ive used recently.
Well done Waltons of Chester highly recommend them to all

Oh God. Tell us how much it cost.

    No don't.

OK, go on. But be gentle.

might be worth putting a 'thumbs up' on H&V for them. I am all for smaller independents - but I think there are some branches of larger chains that can give similar experiences if you are fortunate.

It's a thumbs up from me too.

The experience listed here is precisely why I buy from small Independents. I had a very 'trying' issue with a new Rolex (it can happen) and the local shop was brilliant, giving me a replacement watch without question or hassle.
I have never bought from a chain, although I'm sure some are fine.

PA, I agree completely. I was much better served by an independent AD than by a chain store AD.

They send you a Christmas card, take you to the pub for lunch, as a thank you for the custom over the year.
