Even the special editions released through Gnomon (the Legacy, the Military super dome and Great White Maxi) are not available on the main Steinhart website or through their chain of Authorised dealers. It seems to be a case of Joe Public can buy the bog standard watches that they mass produce so that they can make a living and that in turn will feed our 'special' production line that looks after our preferred customer base.
I completely agree with Greg, it is wrong that we should have to trawl through Facebook to find these things. I personally dislike Facebook and refuse to sign up. I have no interest in letting burglars know that I am on holiday or sharing with the world a picture of my lunch.
Getting back to Steinhart. I have been a strong advocate for the brand and a collector and have started several threads on here over the last few years, but enough is enough. I currently only have one Steinhart, which is listed for sale - so once that is gone I am calling it quits.
As this is a public part of the forum, I would love someone at Steinhart to see this this and to give Gunter the nod that his preferential treatment of the few seriously hacks off those who had otherwise been loyal supporters.
