Email, text and data problems today

I haven't been able to log into the internet or send and receive emails from my mobile all day. Texts are patchy - Ive just tried sending one and it doesn't work.

Also, emails aren't working for my company or our sister company.

I use O2 on contract for my mobile.

Ive Googled it and it seems that O2, and other systems that are linked to it started to malfunction in the early hours of the morning affecting mobile data use, emails and texts due to a 'global software' problem. Calls are unaffected.

I cant see any posts on here regarding it which is odd - is anyone else having problems? Perhaps its limited to my immediate area - West London.

as far as I know, it's UK wide and a mobile operator in Japan is also having the same issue: apparently it's due to some faulty software from a third party company

I haven't had a data connection all day and, even though O2 claim that calls and messages are not affected, I've had periods of 'Emergency calls only' throughout the day

Scary how reliant we are on tech now. People have lost work, stuck in traffic as the sat nav is down, can't pay for train tickets, pay for parking etc

Funny, I had the same thought... Huawei are sulking with us.

Glad I’m on Vodafone, for now at least.

Actually I'm enjoying it , I could happily live without being pestered 24/7.
Next phone might be old school call only.

Look at it as an opportunity to talk to real people and enjoy the real world more, like we did for years before they made our lives ‘better’!!!!!!

Damn - couldn't use Google maps for sat nav.

Had to resort to the BMW's sat nav instead. Probably cost me minutes of my life.

    First World problems, eh?

(Probably have an old A - Z somewhere if the chaos gets worse!)

One of my Husqvarna robotic mowers clearly uses the O2 network as I have not been able to communicate with it via my iPhone all day. The other clearly uses another network as it has been fine. This has led me to ask the dealership how I determine which network each mower relies on (clearly I have the answer for one of them). Truly a First World problem!

They let a security certificate expire by mistake. It’s a simple software fault that can be fixed very quickly but may take a while to propogate.

I had such a problem that no messages were sent all day! And it hurt me a lot in my work, my clients didn't receive my messages! Now I send all messages related to work through BSG. I do not want this experience again with me again! Nowadays, without a phone, how are your hands!
