    Timekeeping related gifts for kids

With the festive season now upon us, been looking for a suitable gift for my son. We got him a tikkers 'pepsi' learning watch and he wears it religiously each day so think he's already doomed to follow in my footsteps.

Came across this build your own mechanical timepiece toy which I think is a great idea to get him to appreciate the innards of a movement!

Does anyone else have any good gift ideas?

That is exactly what I was going to suggest - such an amazing kit for big kids or little kids!

Not much else to add really. Swatch do a good book (a collector's guide, really) with loads of pictures of the cool and quirky models, that might be of interest to a younger watch enthusiast.

I just bought one "for the kids" - that'll be the making Christmas dinner excuse activities sorted.
