Goldsmiths L’pool no longer stock Oris

Popped into Goldsmiths Liverpool One on Friday as we were Christmas shopping and needed to break up the hell! Fancied trying on the Sixty Five Diver with the bronze bezel as I’d spotted it last time I was in there.

No Oris in the usual spot in the display case, so enquires where they were. I was informed by the chap behind the counter that they have just stopped stocking them and the nearest place now is Manchester!!

Seems to be be no love for the brand which is a real shame as they produce some lovely looking watches at a sensible price point...

    Not enough turnover?

I agree with Oris having decent looks for decent prices.
Perhaps this Goldsmith's shop didn't experience enough turnover on the brand?

I think that Oris have made a mistake by going upmarket, at least price-wise. However, the availability and price of ETA movements may have forced their hand.

There is a jewellers in St Helens that stock them and you may get a decent price

There was... If you mean OD then they sold off the remaining stock a while back. I bought and re-sold an Oris 65 for a sizeable discount and there were only about 4-5 watches left at that point.

As a brand I really like Oris, they have a number of models that would really appeal but just like Bremont they seem just a bit too big.
