Some might say "This is an artistic interpretation of the fleeting nature of time, and the very transient essence of humanity".

Others might say "Err, it's a bit blurry".

    Who are we to judge?

Which filter did you use for that?

A bit of sharpening and some noise reduction and it'll be fine.

    See what I mean?

He happens to be an amazing photographer and is passionate about horology. I think I’m correct in saying that English isn’t his first language - not that you would know that from his contributions here.

Wow, the most polarising post I’ve read on here all week - and that really takes some doing as it’s been a pretty dispiriting few days.

I ignore all his threads, they all (well, until I stopped looking a few months back, and with the exception of a Basel thread of photos) seem to be a single picture heavily over-processed in Photoshop. All good and well if you like that kind of thing. People take the mickey out of Tony taking all his pictures in a cave at night so why not?

Now I see the point of this thread I can see why some are not happy with it. The guy who this is supposed to be about is someone who takes a lot of time and effort to post up pictures, doesnt get involved in any of the forum squabbles and in all, makes a positive contribution here to what is supposed to be a watch forum. I do remember a few years back a few people getting banned for following LTF about putting zero star ratings on his threads so its not really fair to have a go at someone whose only contribution here has been positive.

That being said, I wonder how many people are genuinely offended or are just point scoring against someone they may have a grudge against elsewhere on the forum.

Hey, they may be taken in a cave, but they're not all at night

No offence. I have my photo style and I will keep it, so you that don't like it just ignore it.

And the rest of you, thanks for your support.

Maybe not Der Amf's finest hour but nothing to get too worked up about.
A little bit of taking the p--s which Jocke aint getting too worked up about.
I like the photos too and wish I had his talent.
I have noticed a few of the Scandinavian/Nordic guys have decent talents in this regard.

Oh, NOW I get the joke. I've noticed your recent pics and agree with others, they're fantastic. And having done my own, I know how much tedious and detailed work goes into setup, execution, and post production. Keep it up.

In fairness, anyone who is doing nine to five thirdy does not see much any bleeding daylight from Nov till end of March in the Blighty anyway. I won't even mention bast@rd rain. Utterly depressing and would explain why that Beer thread going from strengths to strengths in the G&D. Just saying.
