Joe Joyce didn't mess around there. Well, he sort of did, but made amends quickly.

Listening on the radio. Fury seems to be ahead but Wilder could come back in any time. How does Wilder’s face look?

I'd say Fury is winning, has really frustrated Wilder.

However, enough to take the belt? In the USA? I don't know.

Wilder hasn't played his own game, he's playing Fury's and that's a mistake.

Wilder a bit of swelling around the eyes but no big deal.

Wilder went for it there but looked knackered at the end.

Can’t see Fury winning this unless by knockout.

Doesn't seem so, but Wilder definitely needs one now.

Amazing fight. The guy who fought best was on the canvas twice, this is going to be closer.

Fury was the winner but the other winner was the money circus of boxing on this occasion.

Fury didn't win by enough to relieve Wilder of the belt. If that was a non-championship fight there would be no question over it, no split decision.

And there is was from Wilder; doesn't care where the rematch is, just wherever makes the most money.

Well, I don’t like saying I told you so, but I TOLD YOU SO! To me, this match had too much of a sniff of showbiz/moneymaker about it. The real winners were the promoters and broadcasters, as usual.

    1st fight = money = draw = rematch = money = a winner = AJ = money

It’s subjective but that is why people are falling out of love with boxing, Tyson was denied a great comeback tonight by a poor decision in my eyes, winners are the promoters and bookies tonight, nothing more...

To much money on one mans head in boxing.

  42. #92
I’ve been listening to the Steve Bunce podcasts about the Heavyweight Championship starting from 1960 onwards, to me there’s no difference between the shady promoters back throughout boxing history to the crop of promotors we have today, they are all crooks and will do anything to make a £/$ out of someone’s career no matter what...

Assuming a rematch happens... Fury has to be confident that he can beat him with more conditioning under his belt, I suspect Wilder knows this too.

After that final round knockdown and it being in America I feared Fury would be judged to have lost.
I don't know what medication that Mexican judge was on but I would like some for Christmas.
If Wilder comes to the UK for a rematch he will be a true champion.

Joshua is clearly number three in the division irrespective of what belts he holds.
I can see Joshua wanting to avoid these two as he would get knocked out by one of them and driven mad by the other punching fresh air.

Agree, however whilst Fury could get fitter and stronger before a rematch Wilder might take some boxing lessons.

They couldn’t give it to fury after being banged out twice like that. The ref could have called it at that 12tg round knockout because fury looked unconscious for a second or two.

Fury had done enough to be ahead for most people until that last round, where you have to give Wilder credit for actually trying to finish the fight.

The scoring wasn’t perfect but the result reflected the fight. Neither man did enough to win cleanly.

I thought Tyson dominated that by a mile. Wilder barely landed a single shot for the first 11 rounds (the first knock down caught him on the top of his head and knocked him over). Tyson was WAY ahead the entire fight and I thought gave Wilder a masterclass in boxing. The final knock down was a bloody good combo to be fair and I thought Tyson was done at that point. Managing to get up from that was a huge effort and very impressive. A draw though........... Not even close. Poxy ‘sport’!!!

Not sure you understand how boxing is supposed to be scored.
