    I like it.

In the twenty odd I have only one lines up. Actually it was my first back in 2007.

    Ha, ha.

Some people do get really pissy about it too. I've even known people not tightening there crowns fully just so the logo is in the "right" place.

Precious metal Skydwellers for them. They’re unique in having a crown that will always be the “right” way up.

    How so?

I've looked at the Rolex website, it has a screw in crown like any Oyster Case.

Again, it’s only on the PM variants.

Cool, unnecessary, but nice attention to detail

It’s a bit odd how little they’ve made of it, and that they didn’t include it in the steel models, it’s not like their margins aren’t high enough. I wonder do they feel it’s an unnecessary or potentially problematic solution to an issue that doesn’t really exist.

Over on the rolex forums I've seen people complaining that the crown logo at the 12 o'clock position in the rehaut is microns out of alignment with the dial.

I'm sure they do feel that!

But I think you've answered your own question in the first sentence. For Rolex this is making a rod for their own backs. Human nature being what it is, owners of other models will start questioning why theirs can't also have the aligned crown and then Rolex will find themselves in for additional manufacturing costs, QA and all the inevitable subsequent service hassles with customers demanding nanometer accurate alignment.

    Bin it 😊

Surely the alignment changes as the seals wear/bed in? - or how hard the owner/heavy handed gorilla screws it down? - either way, a non- issue unless you are the type that parks your car so all the alloys line up symmetrically etc etc

Can’t say it’s something I’ve ever really thought about. Just glanced down at my Daytona and it appears to line up. No idea if my others do or not!
