Worth the gamble if you can do personal pick up.

Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. No feedback is enough to walk away from.

“Inherited from his granddad. Not a watch guy. No returns. “

Not nearly enpugh detail in the photos to judge by, but the 4 on the date wheel doesn't look right to me, even allowing for a non-original crystal

The item description is somewhat too apologetic to inspire confidence, in my view. The lume on the hour markers is a bit rough, not sure if age would do that but if it did, wouldn't it be a bit darker?

I viewed this ad this morning (Before i saw this post) and thought it was probably a wrong 'un just based on the feedback.

I did not even get to the bit about his Grandad which means i missed out on a laugh while drinking a cup of tea !

    Haha, it's terrible.

Dial has been aged with the old 'flick some varnish off a toothbrush' method.

Dial has been re-lumed (badly), so has the aftermarket pearl. You can see in photos 2 & 3 in the low light that the hands, dial and pearl have some vaguely there luminescence or varying qualities.

The bracelet is far too new. You can still see sharp edges on the clasp, on the bezel edge and basically it's like new. But not the good kind of new. The kind of new that gets pressed out of cheap steel in China.

Hand set is terrible, looks to still have the brand new lume.

The tube for the seconds hand is off center showing that it has been stamp pressed incorrectly.

Around the outer edges of the crystal you can see where he's used UV set glue to seal it in place.

The description and lack of feedback inspires zero confidence before looking at the horror show of a watch.

Something about the case shapes does not look true to me.
The hand set is better then most fakes but still not quite right.
I would not touch it with a barge pole
