Thread: My wildlife pics

    My wildlife pics

I posted a couple of wildlife pics when selling a lens recently so I thought I'd share a few more that I've taken over the past few years.

This is the pic I posted of a tiger last time, taken with the lens I sold, a Fuji 50-140.

The same lens got this angry bird

Let's switch to this owl who was much calmer.

    A sleeping lizard

Another tiger, this time in B&W

    And lastly a mutant wasp!

Excellent pics, excellent glass; surprised you sold it when it can deliver results like that.
    Best Regards - Peter
Please Note: It is possible that Griswold may know nothing whatsoever about horology. It's even possible that he has never even owned a watch. It is also highly possible the he has a strange imagination. His wife insists he would be far better off paying more attention to taking his medication on time.

great pictures, I love the bird shots

what sort of distance to the birds/crop are those?

Thanks, Peter - yes, the 50-140 was an excellent lens. I moved to Sony and bought the 100-400 but my photography has changed direction so I wonít be using long zooms anymore.

Thanks - I’m trying to remember both occasions so I may be out but I think the eagle was taken about 15-20ft away and I didn’t crop much. The owl was taken much closer and was when I was shooting Nikon - D600 and 70-300. I didn’t crop much there either.

presumably, apart from the wasp, they are captive shots?

Thanks, Tony - very kind of you to say that. I hope you are well and still enjoying your Sony.

there is always debate about whether they are Wildlife images, certainly not "nature" images and probably classed as captive images taken at a zoo, rather than "Wildlife images"

    Sorry to be pedantic

    good shots in any case
