    PVR machines

My parents need a new PVR as their Goodmans has stopped working .Does anybody have any recommendations or are they all much the same .They just want to record programmes from Freeview when their out or late at night .They don't have smart TV or broadband.

I'd have look at Humax, have used the Freeview and Freesat version for about twelve years now and am happy to recommend. They often have discounts on their outlet store too if you want to save a few quid.

Had Humax in the past and generally been satisfied.

Still using a BT box that came when I was with them for broadband. Not sure that isn't made by Humax.

    This is the refurb store:

Panasonic and Sony do some nice ones. We have a Panasonic and it has been flawless.

My dad (mid 80's) also has a Panasonic and despite not tech savvy can use it without any problems.
