The new Titonis are here >>>>>>>>>>>>

At long last comes a new range of watches from the English speaking world's least cared about Swiss watch brand - Titoni. Yes, my excitement is palpable!

As any of my forum stalkers will know, I'm a big fan - if there's a thread on this forum about Titoni then I probably started it and if I was lucky, someone else replied. Here's my collection from about a year ago if you actually care: https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...ghlight=Titoni I did find that Space Star GMT by the way. Still looking for the Panda...

On with the watches and some pretty massive pictures lifted from the Titoni website that I couldn't be arsed to resize. There's a load of new Airmasters and Space Stars and amongst them are some pretty ropey designs so I'm only going to show you the two that I actually need to have in my collection. First up, a new Cosmo King - only the 3rd version of this watch in about 40 years. For some reason they've dropped the "King" and it's now just the Titoni Cosmo. Shades of Omega Globemaster maybe? I think it's pretty damn awesome:

    ETA2824, 41mm and 10ATM WR:

However, this is the watch that really floats my boat. I have always hated jewel markers on watches until now but the baguette stones on the dial of the new Airmaster have turned me totally. ETA movement again, the magic 39mm diameter and a disappointing 5ATM WR that doesn't make me want it any less:

As with any Titoni watch, they'll be a complete pain in the balls to source in the UK so if you live in Europe near a Titoni dealer, or better still, if you live in Grenchen, please get in touch!

Why do manufacturers do this? Baffles me.

Presumably so people (non-watch folk) come to the manufacturer first for straps given the challenge of finding awkward sizes from more mainstream sources.

Here in the city of lights and the consumption of amphibian limbs there are several duty-free shops catering to the Oriental visitor - after a brief photo stop at the Eiffel Tower or the Musée D'Orsay the coach discharges its human cargo in front of one of these emporia in order that the happy tourist can stock up on Lanvin scarves, Chanel scent, Gallic victuals, etc. in the comfort of their own language. These boutiques are invariably Titoni dealers and often have a display of said brand in the window.

As you know I’m a fan, but I’m clearly not target market for the new collection...

The number 3 after Wednesday looks very odd on the Day-Date one!

How would you feel if you bought a Finnish day date watch, and the choice on the day wheel was "Keskiviikko" or "Keskiviikko 3"?

I tried to source a Titoni Seascoper last year. Not a chance in hell. Why isn't the UK considered as a market for their watches?

I'd be very grateful if you keep an eye for the Airmaster above. I'm not even sure how much it is yet...

I'd love to see that blue cosmo in 36mm. Perfect size for that style of watch.

I emailed Titoni a few years ago to request that they reissue the large case Felca/Titoni Seascoper III. They kindly replied to say that they have always been targeted at the Asian market, in particular, Japan. This market appears to be dominated by conservative generic Rolex-type designs. Therefore I doubt that they are in any hurry to return to lurid orange dials and/or bezels!

BTW I think that these current offerings are bland, generic mediocrity.

    I’m pleased for you :).

I like the indices and the day date layout. Not so sure about the hands but overall has a nice look about it for me.

Some of the old Titoni chronographs look very cool.

    Looks good!

The day/date complications at 12 o'clock make the dial look more balanced than if they were in the usual place IMO
