Patek back on the wrist! 5296R

After a bit of ringing round to get on a list for a 5164A finally managed to sort one and should arrive in the next few months.
Anyway i thought id call in the AD today so he could put a face to the name and have a chat etc..

I'd asked previously if he had a sector dialled 5296R in which he had.I'd hankered after this watch for ages and deliberated between this and the plain dialled 5296 but once i saw it in the flesh it was an easy decision for me although the plain dial is Patek simplicity at its best.

Anyway to say I'm chuffed is an understatement and to top it all i'm on the list for a Blue 5711 so will just sit and wait fingers crossed.

Beautiful. Looks so classy. I’d be over the moon as I imagine you are! Well done!

    ^^^^Thank you.
Enjoying not wearing a heavy steel watch for a change.
The blued hands really stand out in real life in a way that i haven't seen in images.

Enjoy! Personally I don't think there is anything to compare to top quality blued steel hands

That looks stunning, really like it - do share a few pics!

Do you mind me asking if you can get any discount on these?

Sir - you have very good taste. I really do like that. Patek really do know how to produce class products. I am lucky to be wearing my 5167A which is again a simple watch but so well executed.

If you could post further pictures?

    All the best

    Martyn

A few more pics.I'll definitely get round to posting some more in better lighting conditions.
I didn't ask for a discount as i the AD had already sourced me a 5164A and sorted a spot on the list for a 5711 so thought it better to leave as is.

I dare say on a Calatrava you may get a discount but any of the steel sports Aquanauts or Nautilus and i think you'd have a better chance of platting fog!

Just posted on the Friday thread that i havent taken this off since i bought it.
I never felt that way about either the 5164A or the 5711's that ive previously owned.
Only other watch i couldnt stop looking at was a 36mm Day Date in yellow gold!
    Must be getting old!!
