The Somme. Footage from last week.

Mentioned in another thread that it could be worth it's own thread. 4k drone footage we used to compile this modest effort for a school Remembrance event and to further develop students' appreciation of what happened.

Music is a bit meh but some like it. I do, personally but I get the meh too. Other 4k footage we filmed to help compile the video:

Loads of footage of this amazing place.

We've tried media outlets to push what we did and generate some interest, but no takers. So here it is. Hope you like. We are amateurs, by the way. Total novices and it is as such an amateur effort.

    Michael.

I watched it in the other thread and found it very impressive.
I know you mentioned the choice of music so I rewatched it on mute and it's even more powerful IMHO.
Great work, you should be proud.

Very moving, I remember visiting a number of the battlefields for my History O level over 30 years ago and hearing the last post in Paris at the Arc de Triomphe.

Still vivid in my memory all these years later.

Drone footage captures an interesting perspective, as you can get a greater view of the area while still being able to see land contours which you loose with aerial photography.
