i tried a dj 41 black face recently, its a great watch but the polished centre links were a little too much for me. it's slightly more dressy and bling than the explorer.

    I have this dj41

Had it for a few months now. Previously had the “sky fall” AT - blue dial 38.5mm. Nice watch, but always felt a bit small to me and ended up selling it due to that. The ATs, particularly latest models are quite thick too.

The dj41 seems to benefit from perfect proportions, difficult to explain but just “right”. I know some prefer the older 36mm design, but I think the 41 is the perfect modern evolution of the dj and in stainless steel also has a “clean” look.

I’d definitely recommend the dj. AT is available in bigger size, but dj still gets my vote. Plenty of choice with smooth bezel, oyster bracelet too to suit individual tastes.

Get an Explorer 2 and you will have the date function.
