I saw the first one but have not yet seen last nights, again another fan who thinks this is a return to form for SBC.
I know it can be a bit much at times and feel a bit overly repetitive, but my god was it funny.
I love the satire and the juxtaposition of cringe factor against hilarity.
Brilliant, I'd love to see this rolled out exposing other Countries as well if he can get away with it.

Watched both episodes, I accidentally stumbled upon the first one not knowing what the show was about and didn't immediately twig that it was all a SBC wind-up, such is how straight he plays it. The penny soon dropped though, and I still can't believe how naive those who he manages to hoodwink actually are.

Agreed return to form. I found most of his post Ali G stuff boring (apart from King Julien XIII in Madagascar) but this is something else...and it was needed given everything that's going on.

I enjoyed it but it feels really dated. He's been doing this for over 20 years now.
My issue is he only targets the right, there's enough idiots on both sides that need exposing.
No, there are a lot more warmongering, racist, gun loving, misogynistic morons on the Right.
Much more fertile ground than misguided hippies with social consciences.
I'm not sure, there's a pretty strong left desperate to manipulate society so that it fits their views of what it should be.
When they're not challenged in popular media people find their own way to do it. Hence, brexit and trump.
I remember Alistair Campbell on question time after Cameron was elected. I don't remember the issue but he fundamentally said don't let them have a debate, they should just do it.

I watched both episodes back to back last night, and whilst I found it amusing I think the format feels very tired and has been done to death. Stupid people saying stupid things to a man clearly slathered in unconvincing make-up was funny when SBC first dreamt it up but watching Borat again reminded me it may be past its sell-by date

I feel the same nowadays.
Sure people say that if if the marks are stupid enough to fall for it they deserve all they get but to be honest I think a lot of them are probably just humouring what they think is an over made up weirdo without realising they themselves are being held up for ridicule.

I agree. When people are in public it's one thing, but when they're working with people off the street it's reminiscent of laughing at the village idiot as he's poked and pushed.
Also, I'm not convinced of the integrity, when they had the town meeting were all residents invited?
I had a friend who worked on wife swap and they used to wind them up just before filming.
These people are largely people in the public eye or in senior government positions. Hardly people off the street. If it were just the general public then I would agree it’s easy to manipulate. Most of the people that fall for this should just know better and be held to a higher standard.
