Rolex purists look away - Explorer on Fortis rubber

Looks nice and chunky as well as adding an extra dimension to the overall look. Just to really rub it in I have fitted an expanding Seiko clasp. What do you think, suit it or not?

Not to my taste I’m afraid.

Not for me as it's too proud of the lugs

    Edit: and bezel

It looks a bit odd because the photo is taken so close I think. It looks great to me at the end of my wrist!

Don’t think I’ve ever seen an Explorer on anything but the bracelet. No idea why when I think of the variety you see on other watches (something like a Speedie being a prime example).

Not keen on this though - got anything else? ;-)

    Looks a bit mismatched.

I like it but generally only like dive watches on rubber. Think that would look much better on a nice brown leather handmade strap
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

It was a nice experiment, I was surprised it fit as well as it did to be honest. Now back on a Phenomenato Admiralty grey. I did have it on a Rubber B but the strap is a bit too short on the 12 o'clock side and it sat a bit weird on my wrist.

I don't mind it at all. If it was me wearing it on that strap, I'd be continually thinking about how much I like the bracelet and that would spoil the endeavour. But if you don't have to weather that particular storm, go for it!

Sometimes things are better in theory than in practice... I quite liked this, but the lure of the bracelet won out rather quickly.

The bracelet is nice but a good old nato works well for the Explorer.

I tried my old Explorer on all sorts of things but the bracelet always won out in the end. Fun though.

I do love it on bracelet but at work, and its on a nato, nobody bats an eye since they don't know what the watch is.

I wear my 67 5513 on a black silicon strap fitted with a Cartier lookalike deployment. I love it plus it protects the original 7206 strap.

    No, no it doesn't.

I think you may need to repeat strap choice 101.
