    Railmaster XXL

Wanted one of these for a while - found one locally so I just had to have it - Simple and quite brilliantly made.

I've always liked that model. Probably a bit too big for my wrist but I've always though it looks spot on!

I've always wanted to try one, I tried on a Aqua Terra XXL but did not get on with the dial. How much did you pay? I'll be interested how much wrist time you give it as they are huge! Enjoy

Lovely - I had a WTB open for ages to find an XXL, and I gave up on finding one.

    My personal favourite .
Got it back recently after a full service and replacement crystal.
Not a huge fan of the supplied strap so I’ve put mine on a spare Breitling strap I had .
I too searched for one after seeing it in an AD for silly money .
Finally got one from the forum and delighted with it .

A beautiful watch. At 49mm it's huge and, for the life of me, I cannot understand why Omega didn't make this design at 42/44mm.

I’m no stranger to big watches being 6’3” and broad - big watches look normal. Sub 44mm watches look ridiculous on me.

Original strap with 24/18 taper is a bit odd for such a large watch. The AR coating appears to have the scratch resistance of cream cheese. That aside it’s probably my favourite watch at the moment.

I’ve got a black Isofrane rubber to try on it - See how that works.

They do seem to be more prevalent outside the UK. I was looking at one in Sweden full boxed set, I was about to buy that one and then a used one popped up at a local well known jewellers.

I really like these but they are far too big for my 6.75 in wrist and look ridiculous on me.

I think the movement is based on a Unitas design which is massive, hence the size.

There’s a Watch Box review of the Railmaster XXL and the reviewer has a smaller wrist than yours and it looks fine.
