Sinn 104 on Strapcode Super Engineer

    Good morning all,

Thought i'd share some pictures of this combination. I first got the idea from a reddit thread where someone was saying how much it matched so I thought I'd give it a shot. The images he provided wern't particularly good so I thought I'd add a few here too!

Impressions are is that to me it has to be the only time a straight end link on a bracelet actually seems to suit it more than the factory one. I find the factory bracelet end links can look a little clumsy next to the angular lugs of this watch. The straight links themselves even have chamfers on them and each link is also chamfered rather than rounded. It seems to match the watch incredibly well and I'm chuffed with it.

Interested to hear if you guys agree or have any comments,

    Thanks

Think the bracelet overpowers the watch, but if you like it then wear that bad boy in good health.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I like the watch, I don't like bracelets without fitted end links, the very large squared off end to the bracelet is at odds with the curve of the case and bezel. But then that's just me.

I tried a super engineer on a few watches and it always overpowered the watch - a shame as it felt very well made for the price (well, you could double the price and it would still be excellent vfm imho) - I think it’s down to the thickness as opposed to anything else. Looks ok on the Sinn though

Sorry but it does not work for me, but what you think is all that matters.
The super oyster over powers ever watch I have seen it used on IMHO.
No doubt it is a great product but it’s too chunky in its design.

I like that you like it, but it isn't for me. It's all brushed surfaces do not match the polished case, and it is just too bulky to suit the fully tapering lugs.

Appreciate the feedback on this, really interesting to see what you guys think!

Definitely can see how the brushed surfaces could be seen to clash with the polished surfaces, I personally don't like to wear a bracelet with any kind of polishing on it - to be fair the brushing isn't particularly dull on this bracelet.

I do personally think it's heaviness does compliment the case as it's not a particularly diminutive watch, it's definitely less comfortable than a sleeker bracelet.

Overall I think it does look best on straps, but I do like having this option as I'm not 100% sure on the H link (or the fine link) bracelet that you get on these.

I love Strapcode bracelets but they have to be fitted to the right watch; with fitted end pieces your Sinn would look a lot better than at present - but you're not going to get them from Strapcode.

As has been said earlier, the watch is overpowered by the bracelet and the links look too thick and heavy. That looks like a Super Engineer II you have? I think the SE I would be better with the links having a more rounded profile - still a very thick bracelet.

But if you like it, good for you! :)

I like it. My black dial 104 lived on that bracelet. I do think the white dial looks less tooly and for that reason only I think the bracelet might be s bit much. If it was black dial then yes

Did just also get this far less controversial strap through from Eddie this morning,

Seems really robust for £12! Deployment too is nice.

Nice looking watch, have a bit of a thing for white dials at the moment. As others have pointed out, I feel the bracelet is too powerful for the case, but I get what you mean that you like it, after all that is what counts really.
Have you tried a fitted rubber, reckon that would look killer.

I love this watch - it ticks so many boxes for me.

I have the white face 104 and am going to buy a sinn bracelet - I just cant decide on the H style ( Stainless steel; 2-piece, polished/satin finish) or the fine link bracelet; Stainless steel, polished/satin finish

    H style :

    fine link :

I've had the H on other Sinns but the fine link on my 104 - I felt that was the right bracelet for the watch.

Cracking watch the 104, but it has to be on the fine link bracelet for me.

The Super Engineer is superb, but I'd like to see it on a fat diving watch with straight lugs.

I concur. The fine link is a great match for the 104

Another vote for the engineer from me

    H link for me.
Comfortable, well balanced on wrist with the clasp, plenty of adjustment with the clasp, and a solid build

Thanks...the Monster has been on a few bracelets, but I think this combo really works.

As others have said, the Super Engineer is too industrial for the 104 & the straight end link / round case interface doesn't work for me.

Fine link & H link both look good on the 104

The right (manly) bracelet for the right (manly) watch.

I've just swapped over to a fine link for my black dial model
