Bought a blue Sub today :)

    That got your attention!

    Size across bezel: 44mm

    Thickness: around a foot

Bezel: looser than a wizard’s sleeve

    Timekeeping: it tells the time

Strap: like a stick of chewing gum

    Lume: none

Cyclops: makes the date harder to read

    Water resistance: 50m allegedly

    B&P: present, hang tag too

    Price: £15....yes that’s right, £15.

The nato didn’t come with but it’ll do and make it wearable.

I’m going away for a long weekend and want something cheap that I don’t have to worry about knocking or losing. I’ll put a spot of glue under the bezel to keep it still and boom....I’m away on my travels.

A unusual situation where the strap has doubled the value of the watch!

15 quid though! That's cheaper than a London cocktail, and that gets pissed into the toilet in a few hours.

Bought one of those myself on a flight back from Montenegro a few years ago - I think I gave it away on Sales Corner a few months later. It came with a faux leather NATO which I kept. Works quite nicely with my Seiko diver.

Thoroughly decent holiday watch, as you observe.

Thanks. I noticed you'd given yours to the fundraiser a while back and I'll do that too when I'm done with it.

    Re the bezel.
Try a thin elastic band that's a bit smaller that the diameter of the watch. Should give a bit of resistance when tucked under the bezel.

I remember reading a suggestion to wrap dental floss around under the bezel until it firms up to the right level.

I did that on my PRS3 but the gap between the case and the bezel was bigger on the PRS3 and it had more lateral movement.

That will work Dave, I did the same using one of those Loomi bands kids make bracelets with, only I put it on a watch movement that was a little loose in the case.

Great watch for a good price, OP.

Seriously don’t know how they can produce a watch with all components for £15 regardless of quality.

A useable and wearable watch for less than the price of a round. Really, what is not to like?

Yes, definitely works - Ive done this on a number of Tiger Concept homages from the far East with very loose bezels and it stiffened them up nicely

If the case is stainless steel, some fun could be had modifying the watch.
